Adult Volunteers
Adult volunteers are always welcome and there are many benefits to being an adult volunteer that includes spending time with horses and young people. Adult volunteers can choose to help just with the horses, just with young people or with both. Additionally anyone who could help with general maintainance or even paperwork would be most welcome. The time spent down the field is enjoyable for all of us and it is important that everyone wishes to foreword the project as a whole rather than seeking only to benefit themselves.
When we need help
With the horses- Between 8 and 10am is our busiest time due to needing help mucking out and turning horses
out although we do welcome volunteers who can stay all day.
With young people- Weekends to help any riding or horse handling
activites
Holidays for many activities
On show days for support and organisation
Requirements
Anyone working with the young people will be required to have a DBS check
Anyone wishing to ride at any point must have the appropriate insurance

Adults must also obey the rules of the yard eg. no swearing, smoking or alcohol.
Animals must be handled in an appropriate manner
All young people are to be encouraged and assisted but it is not the adults role to be overly bossy!!
Anyone wishing to ride must be able to offer assistance in other areas and not simply wish to have a free ride.
