Leo came to us early 2019 from the same owner as Gemini, who found it hard to meet his specific needs. Leo came to us very nervous and unbroken. As well as this he has a condition called locking stifles, which means that he sometimes is unable to move his back legs. Since then he has been doing lunge work and lots of pole work in order to build up the muscle in his back legs.
Due to an amazing improvement in Leo’s confidence and muscle tone and following advice from our vets , we have decided to start to break him in. His has taken to having a rider on his back really well and we hope to continue to progress him by continuing his pole work on the lunge, slowly start introducing him to jumps to improve his back legs more, in order for him to carry a rider for longer spaces of time.
