With the poles all painted over the summer holidays we decided it was time for a show. We held a clear round jumping 'teaching show'. This allowed riders to have instruction over the fences whilst jumping. There were several different heights for the ponies from didi to large. Everyone had a great time but they are still keen to have a go next time!

Today was a busy day which started with Buster hacking out on his own with Jemma riding him and George walking alongside. He was very good as it was raining and there were lots of people with umbrellas. The Sunday riders rode in the field and Coco settled in well with gentle work with the other horses (only a little walk and trot). He was starting to become a little more supple with this gradual work and is happy to be joining in. Toby is not yet working off the lunge so was not able to join in today but should have more individual attention in the week. In the afternoon Twiggy arrived at the chase. She settled quickly after pulling faces over the fence at Mo and Apollo. As it started to get dark they seemed very happy so were left to get to know each other. |
GeorgeI am the Chair of the Committee that runs Summerfield Stables. I like helping out with the horses as much as I can but I find it hard to find the time. Archives
